I transferred to HSBC about a month ago. Need to complete a form which you can find on HSBC website.

I opened a current account online first, so i wouldn't have to visit a branch with ID.

The whole process was smooth and ISA transfer completed in 7-10 days.

if you read the form in the link provided by Aidanmc you will see that unless you are already a customer of HSBC, you will have to take the HTB ISA application form into branch with proof of ID
