Universal credit assessment period

Has anyone been able to change their assessment period?  My assessment period is very close to my paydate - assessment period is 27th -26th  paydate is 28th. This causes me problems when my paydate falls at a weekend or on a bank holiday and is brought forward.  This in turn means that universal credit calculate 2 paydays in one assessment period.  I have read that this affects upwards of 70,000 claimants.  It happens to me every 3 or 4 months meaning I lose out on just under £200 each time it occurs   There was a court ruling to say that this is an illegal process and I have tried to question it through a mandatory reconsideration process to which universal credit just do not respond 🙁.  If my assessment period was moved forward or backwards by just a few days it wouldn’t happen. It is a very discriminatory and unfair process which I would love to challenge and change not only for myself but for the thousands of others that it affects especially since it has already been challenged in court and found to be unlawful because the DWP are incorrectly interpreting the rules.   Any experiences or suggestions would be grateful.  Thank you
