SAAS funding

My daughter has been accepted at Napier university on a veterinary nurse degree. She will be out on placement at some point in the year. And is hoping to stay in University residence. There a question on the SAAS form asking if she will be going out on placement, does this mean she will get more or less money from SAAS. Also will she get any help towards accommodation costs? She is not entitled to any bursary as we are a £ 1000 over the threshold for a bursary. Any guidance would be appreciated.
