Well done on being a bit restrained with your snacking - I need some of that willpower over here!

Oooh @Bluegreen143 that looks fab! I love your cupboards too!
I'm not sure if it would work in our bathroom as many of the tiles are old and a bit damaged, but you have definitely inspired me to have a think about our kitchen - current tiles are shades of yellow, brown and beige, it's in good condition but not really my taste!
Work yesterday, then up with M most of the night, I got about 2 hours sleep if that so can barely string a coherent sentence together today. Spends this week so far: £17.83 on various birthday cards and presents. I have an online grocery delivery due on Friday so need to finalise that and do a bit of a plan. Snacking wasn't too bad again in work but today has been a bit rubbish as just trying to stay awake!Mortgage December 2023: TBC

So yesterday was a bit of a write off as in a fog of tiredness, but did tea from random freezer bits instead of succumbing to a pizza takeaway so that was good.
Slightly more sleep last night, so am determined to get a bit more done - weather looks better, so we'll get out for a walk. Grocery shopping is coming later, 75ish which isn't bad, I just need to make sure there's no top ups next week!
Today I need to avoid snacking, and am going to try to get a short work out done too. Have a lovely Friday everyoneMortgage December 2023: TBC

Hope you managed to get your bits done today - well done you on planning a workout! I’m so rubbish at getting exercise in... been doing yoga but skipped today. It’s so hard to find the time isn’t it?Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Just wanted to say hi! My baby is almost 11 months and I've some PP issues relating to pelvic girdle pain meaning I can't exercise how I used to either. I'm sorry you are going through the same, but I'm also glad I'm not alone in this. It is soo lonely, a few friends had babies around the same time and seemed to have "bounced back" to their old bodies. I'm also about 2 stone heavier than before, I can't even walk for any length of time without being in pain and unable to sleep for days afterwards.
NHS physio was no help to me (only got to see a student), I bit the bullet and have been seeing a private physio which I can only afford now as I have cleared my personal credit card debt.
Well done and keep going!!

Night 1 of night weaning/sleep training last night, let's just say it was long and loud....
@Bluegreen143 totally agree on time - this was less of a workout, more of a chasing M who found it really funny but tries to get in the downstairs loo and standup on S's step to reach the sink every time I take my eye off her!
@CreditCardJunkie thanks for sharing, I know what you mean in feeling like the only one! So sorry to hear how much pain you're in, I hope the physio helps. I'm on the list for NHS, I want to see how it goes but my mum has very kindly offered to pay for some extra sessions if I need them so may look into private too, I don't want her to have to pay out if she doesn't need to though. You're right, it does feel like everyone else bounces back sometimes (though I know it's not easy even without specific problems), I don't recognise my body anymore. Patients at work sometimes assume I'm expecting, it's so embarrassing for them and me as they mean it kindly but I could just run and hide sometimes.
So far today we've had a nice rainy walk and father-in-law has popped round this afternoon (he's in our bubble). DH went to get FIL's shopping as we've been doing it, and I've realised this is partly why our grocery spends have increased over lockdown - shopping for FIL and DH refuses to ask him for money. It's difficult as he's in his 80s and on a small pension, but equally we didn't pay for this before lockdown. So another £23.80, which includes some beers for DH and FIL to watch the football. Safer than the pup I suppose!
Will have a good look at things and update on my goals tomorrow, have a good weekend everyoneMortgage December 2023: TBC

Best of luck for tonight @MagicCat, I hope you can crack the sleep issue ❤️
Tricky re your FIL, I understand why your husband doesn’t want to ask him for money, I wouldn’t bother myself if it was the odd thing but if you are doing all his shopping that’s going to add up to quite a bit over time.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Not had the best couple of days to be honest, M's sleep is in the 'worse before it (hopefully!) gets better' phase so we're all exhausted, and having a difficult time with S. Don't feel like I'm doing at all a good job as a mum at the moment.
I need to keep going though, so having a look at my goals:
FINANCE GOALS
1. Do a proper SOA and budget SOA done, budget...in progress
2. Meal plan and work out where I can save on groceries. A lovely MSE poster has given me some child friendly snack recipes so will give those a go to start with Muffins made and have ingredients for oat bars. Meal plan in place for this week, will see how it goes!
3. Talk to DH and plan a strategy for house improvement works Not done - don't think there's any budget for this at the moment anyway.
HOUSE GOALS
None of these done yet, but I'm not working until Saturday and DH has a couple of days off so aiming for some progress while S is at nursery and DH looks after M.
1. Declutter and tidy downstairs
2. Declutter children's rooms
3. Declutter my clothes (see below)
4. Decorate children's rooms
PERSONAL GOALS
1. Get on scales and set target Done
2. Snack on fruit only, stop evening 'treats' of magnum or chocolate buttons and have nice herbal tea instead. Hmm, definitely less snacking but not completely gone. Have spent less on treats though so that's money saving!
3. Do pelvic floor app exercises daily and low impact workout 3 times a week. App done, attempted 1 workout plus child, so not very focused, need to do better on this
4. Do short mindfulness meditation 2 times a week. 1 done
I'm desperately fighting perfectionism - need to focus on keeping going on the start I've made instead. Ship repairs have begun but there's a way to go!Mortgage December 2023: TBC

Still in a bit of an exhaustion fog and far too many biscuits aargh!
Positives, to keep me on track:
- Survey earnings £7.18 this week (upside of being up all night!)
- Made oat bars, v nice, although kids have yet to eat them, but must be better for me than biscuits, right?!
- Online shop ordered Friday, £82.74 so not too bad.
- We've done a lot of tidying/clearing in the garden and it looks so much better!
Hope everyone is having a good week, it seems to be racing by.

Biscuits are definitely allowed when exhausted with a non-sleeping toddler! Well done on your garden and survey earnings 🙂Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018
