Package holiday changed flights not hotel

Hi advice please.... I’m going to Jamaica (hopefully) in September. I booked via first choice holiday package (flight and hotel), they used virgin as the flights. I’ve paid off the amount today and then notice on the virgin flight they have moved this to 2 weeks after the holiday is booked. We are going with friends so really wanted to go on these dates, what are my options? Will first choice need to deal with this, can I request my monies back or ask them to book different flights? Can I refuse the flights given the length to time they moved this by. Any advice would be great? Vicky

Your original booking paperwork does it state the flights are the dates that you wanted to book?? If so that’s a significant change in my opinion and should eligible for a refund.
Your first port of call should be first choice as they are the agent that booked the “package”.0 -
Thank you, if not would they have to change the hotel for me ? As it’s a package holiday so I can’t fly without the hotel I’ve paid for .0

Are you sure they have not just made a mistake, I doubt they could expect anybody to move the flights 2 weeks and still go.0

Unfortunately I can’t get though to first choice, no emails to write too and virgin won’t talk to me as i booked through first choice. They have also cancelled my friends flight (same date)... and now to add to this the hotel (on their website is stating closed until nov ) first choice haven’t contacted me to state this and asked for the full payment or lose my deposit (£1000) so had no choice other to pay. Such a nightmare but thanks fo the advice.0
