Can we fly 3rd July to Mallorca?

Seen new gov advice this morning lifting all but essential travel from 6th July.  Have a family flight booked with Ryan air departing on 3rd July - does this mean we won’t be insured? will flight get cancelled / will we get our money back?  I can’t believe Ryan air would have enough people on board just for essential travel to make it worthwhile flying...or will people just fly even if non-essential travel advice is still in place then?....

If the advice changes before the 3rd then you are insured (assuming that your travel insurance will cover covid19 , many currently don't ) for your trip . Grey area if you fly without FCO advice to but that hanged to ok the day after

If Ryanair don't cancel the flight then you are not entitled to a refund , if you don't fly then you will be a "no show " and the same applies

there are Ryanair flights scheduled from Stansted to Palma both tomorrow and Monday, maybe worth checking whether they operate as planned...should give an indication
  • Still waiting for insurance documents from Ryan air to show we didn’t used the flights so we can claim - anyone know how to do this effectively?...if you click on their website > contact us > flight disruption expenses claim > insurance letters > click here if you require confirmation of your unused flights...guess what.... you get ‘we’re sorry this page I off sightseeing.... ‘ soooooo frustrating - are they just not getting back to anyone?

other have reported getting letter fairly quickly
If you look at the bottom of this page it shows the routes to get the letter https://contactform.ryanair.com/?cr=3-1&lg=en&id=40
  • Thanks - it mentions adding bank account details to the claim form - is this safe?
  • Pls Ignore My last comment ! I’m not claiming from Ryan air... but the travel insurers
