Morning all. We've had heavy rain during the night apparently, I didn't hear a thing. The forecast is for heavy showers all day but the sun is out already ?Yesterday my garden pottering found me shifting cut logs and branches into the tree line at the end of the garden. Boy ! some of them were heavy and/or awkward to move, but I managed without Mr Fix It's help. He's tring to make our DGD a dressing table for her Barbie house, as she has very little furniture in it. DD called yesterday with our meds and has arranged for them to be delivered next time ( when we asked at the start of this they were inundated ) She also brought me a " fat Barbie" (DGD's words not mine) because if I make some clothes for her they will also fit normal Barbie, can't fault her thinking there.I have no clue as to today's events, I will just go as the mood takes me...... no further than the sofa perhaps ? However I must clean the cooker top and also bake a loaf of bread. I might go and play sewing bee with Barbie as my model
Tea will be another enigma, will have to root around in the freezer or perhaps some tortellini with chunks of fresh bread ? Who knows, 'cos i certainly don't at present !! I know it won't be anything like Nelski's sea bass with shrimp and lemon sauce, very high class that
Gers take things easy my friend and get well asap.TA Yay ! for the new meds, hope they do the trick.Take care all, stay safe and well.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently15 -
Morning all
It started raining in the early hours and woke me as the window was open so I got up and closed it and went back off for a while, its much cooler and the garden desperately needs it, its meant to brighten up by lunch time so hopefully we can bbq tonight, I bought a new bbq during the week so OH will probably put that together today.
We took the dogs to the woods again yesterday and had a long walk, ended up at the pond where they had a lovely time splashing in and out and swimming, they both had to have a shower off when they got back as they were very smelly !
Gers I hope you managed to get a good sleep and are starting to feel better, that must have been so scary for you, did mum have someone to look after her ? much love to you xxx
Housework to do this morning and hopefully a bike ride if it stops raining.
Have good days all xx14 -
Morning all - huge thanks for all the great messages, you are all so kind.
Yesterday I slept for most of yesterday and will probably do the same today. I've been out for some shopping and some wound dressings. Kindly neighbours saw me arrive back this morning and came down to carry the shopping up for me. Whilst I didn't really need them to it was so lovely of them it would have been churlish to refuse! The pharmacist gave me some new dressings, the wound is just to the right of a breast, not quite under the arm but just where a bra goes so the one from the hospital hasn't lasted long. The wound is very neat and clean, more of a slit than a hole. I've been told to keep feeling for 'rice crispies' under the skin which is a sign of air leaking into it. Strange days!DM was fine! Her elderly friend (crossword man) brought his research work and camped out in the dining room each day, doing lunch and evening meals as well as the teas / coffees for DM when required. The upstairs neighbours, who have keys anyway, popped in each evening to check at bedtime and also brought in milk. Despite not being the least religous I do feel blessed to have such great people around me. My friend, Alan, collected the list of clothes and stuff I needed and brought them to the hospital for me. No visitors are allowed but there's a system of leaving or collecting bags from a central point where the porters distribute to patients. Now I'm catching up with things here. REDRUBY - such mixed news for you, hang on to the positives. NELSKI - great to hear that the terrorist has been, you hang on there too! TA - poor Sparkle. Sorry if I miss anyone out.Special thanks to CAMELOT for keeping in touch and CRANKY too. All is now on the way to being well.Glasgow is reeling from the events of yesterday even though the reports of three deaths was not true.Whilst I sleep I wish everyone a very Happy Saturday.

Bit windy Chez Nous. I managed to cut the grass before the overnight rain. So much fresher this morning then the wind came. Our home made bird feeder support, lashed together old branches from the pruned oak tree, has had a multitude of birds. The squirrel managed to get the lid off one feeder, so that has been mended with a large paper clip entwined around the clip fastening. The pigeons and collard doves wait underneath the feeders as the tits and robins are messy eaters and the ground gets lots of the crumbs. I did sit in the arbour for my cup of afternoon tea, but even there is was windy. OH had his indoors! Wimp! Didn't venture out on the ebike.Keep well or if poorly, have a good night's sleep.. it works wonders.4
