Intrest occurred

Can anyone help, apologise if it’s a bit long winded. So we booked our holiday threw teletext on an instalment plan on our credit card but we paid extra money into the credit card So we had more than the actual credit card limit to make payments without incurring intrest but have piece of mind we would be covered in the card. Now I get a bit confused sorry when the world fell apart so to speak and our march instalments were being taken with us being in furlough we had no choice but to let the payments be taken from the actual credit card limit and have had to continue to do so to be within our contractual agreement with teletxt. After many conversations with them they have today confined I will receive cancellation details in he next two weeks and then I can go through refund process so what I want to no is can I also claim back the incurred intrest on them payments as I have not had the service/goods the payments were used for. Hope you get what I mean and thanks in advance

If the crux of your post is that you paid for a holiday by credit card and have paid interest on that card debt, then no, the holiday company aren't liable for any of that interest when refunding you what you paid them.

Nope based on your  post that you paid for a holiday by credit card and have paid interest on that card debt, then no, chance in hell with the the holiday company are liable for any of that interest when refunding you what you paid them.

You chose not to pay your balance in full so charging you interest is part of the agreement you signed up to when you agreed to the terms and conditions of your credit card.
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both.
  • Thanks for input,I’m not after the holiday company making and refunds towards my intrest occurred but the credit card company. I have made the call to the credit card company and put request in to have the intrest repaid so just have to wait and see 🙈

As others have posted - they have no obligation to refund you interest here. If they do it will be a gesture of goodwill.
One other thing putting a credit card into credit is not a good idea. They could have blocked it.

Good luck with your refund - you are going to need it with Teletext holidays!
