I share a business premises with a lady. She is a hairdresser, I am a beautician. She pays rent for the property and sub let me the room for my business. She pays business rate, I don't. She applied for a grant and received it. She didn't share it with me and throughout panic she still charges me rent even though I can't work. I received the seiss but as I was on maternity leave it barely covered my outgoings. Is there anything else I can do? I am building up the debt, also should the hairdresser share her grant withme? Please help me thank you

You may be able to take bounce back loan which will at least reduce the costs of your debt.
Has she provided you access to the room throughout? If she closed the salon entirely and you were denied access, you may have a case for refund as the service was not provided.0 -
Thank you, I have my own keys so she said I can go in but the government s rules states i can't have my business open as a beautician. Sorry, what is bounce back loan? Thank you0

OP could also try to discuss with the lady she rents the space from for a reasonable adjustment to the sum due based on equity of sharing the premises grant. May get a fair response if the hairdresser is no longer in panic mode.0

You could try asking your council about the discretionary top up grant, but the likelihood is that all the money will already have been allocated. See https://www.gov.uk/government/news/top-up-to-local-business-grant-funds-scheme
You should look at your room licence agreement to see what the hairdresser's obligations to you are. You may have a key, but is the electricity and water turned off, for example?0
