Loveholidays advice & flight cancelled

Please can anyone offer advice? I had email from Jet2 2 weeks ago advising our planned flights as part of package holiday with Loveholidays were cancelled. We are meant to travel in less than 2 weeks. I’ve heard nothing from Loveholidays to confirm. What do I do? Tried contacting them via email with no response. I’m not really after a refund, happy to defer holiday but want to know where we stand. Holiday was to Crete. Thank you

    Your experience isn't unusual, based on other Loveholidays posts on here, but you need to persist with your attempts to contact them, in order to confirm that your holiday isn't going ahead and to establish what your options are.
  • You need to establish whether Jet 2 are refunding you directly, or through Love Holidays, and get a reference number to quote. Love Holidays are not answering E- Mails that do not have a reference number which they forward to you, so you will have to wait for them to contact you. I'm in the middle of this process for a June cancellation so expect yours to progress in August.
    Patience is a virtue essential to survive being a Love Holidays Customer !!!!!!!  Hope this helps !

  • we're in a similar situation re package holiday booked with LH departing late July. Had an email from LH in May to reply to a chat they had sent me. Chat was to do with a refund they had received from Jet2 for our flights and had we requested a cancellation with Jet2. We hadn't, and LH kindly sent the flight refund to us. I asked (on the same chat) about the rest of the holiday as its obviously cancelled - was told to cancel vie 'Manage my booking'. Only option there was to cancel and forfeit their charges. Managed to get someone on Chat again and response was the same. Told them about 'charges' issue and they replied they will do it on their side. Happy days I thought. Late last week got an email to say 'Hope you're looking forward to your holiday'!! and today email to say that Final balance will be taken out on Tuesday!! Will try to contact them before then but not hoping for much.

    Sit tight they will get to you.   They are working in strict date order.   Daughter was due to travel 12th July and only got her email 2nd July although had been told in May of cancelled flight.

    Can't understand this one at all!  If it was a package holiday and you didn't cancel your flights, very unusual for Love Holidays to refund you the flight?   Especially as your holiday date hasn't even arrived?    You should be due a full refund of the lot if flights cancelled!   Obviously this would not be processed until after the date of holiday has passed.   Don't get it at all - sorry.     Someone has screwed up somewhere!
