Error on credit report (Mortgage)

Hi everyone, hope you are all well 
I’m in the process of thinking about putting the house on the market etc and M and S bank wrongly listed a missed payment on my account, they have agreed to remove it but are saying it could take 90 days!! This seems so long, does anyone know if that is correct?
