Hollow area under laminate floor in corner of room

Corner of my lviing room has a small hollow area (from tip of slippers). I have also attached images of the corner of the room from the outside. As you can see from the images, the house in above 3 layers of brick. I should add, it's deep enough that when you stand on it, the wood bends.

Was the laminate already in place when you bought the house?
It could be a case of rot but the only way you would find out would be by lifting it although this would cause damage.1 -
Yes the flooring was already there. I noticed the hollow area when i moved in.I will call a carpenter round to remove the panels safely and see whats going on0

Your ground floor will likely be on rafters suspended from the walls, so the hollow bit below the first three brick/block levels is by design and to prevent rot. However the rafters should be covered by thick floor boards and then your laminate, etc on top. You should not feel the hollowness (the floor should not bend). It may be due to rot as per above, or a broken floor board.1
