Travel agency help

Hi all can anyone help us we are having major problems with a travel agent we booked with the flights are now cancelled and apparently according to the travel agent the airline is not giving refunds even if we decided to go through with refund it can take 2 months which isn't a problem our flights were in the 24th July and have now been cancelled anyway but he is saying there is no guarantee that the airline is going to give us all the money back its a damn nightmare we can't get hold of the airline either hes fobbing us off saying of we give him dates for next year he can do something about it but he's also saying that as the vouchers will only be usable upto the date of purchase which was February so he sayjng we wont be able to fly in July next year if they get the vouchers from the airline as they only go up to February can anyone give any advice please 🙏 would be incredibly great full thank you
