American Express approved or not
I have applied for American Express card I got email saying “ Thank you for your interest in American Express. To complete the processing of your application, we require some additional information from you” I need to send in proof of ID and Proof of address.
Does this mean I have been accepted? But they just need to know it’s me?

Maybe some detail with your application and credit report didn't quite tally.
If you don't resolve it, you definitely won't be accepted so I'd suggest providing them with the information they require to complete the application.1 -
Possibly this happened when my partner applied for their Amex. Okay thank you I was just wondering because never applied for Amex card before. I doubt that Amex would go though all that effort of me sending in everything in just to decline me 🤔1

Sometimes they just get an instruction to carry out a check before approving the application. Last time I applied for one they called me to tell me they had given me enough credit already and said I'd have to move some credit from an existing card to the new one.1

I sent the them supporting information Amex needed this morning and gave them quick call and they told me get back to me by the end of the day by email0
