Getting a refund/rebate from LV because my grandfather hasn't used his car

My grandfather has been self-isolating because of the lockdown which means he hasn't used his car for several weeks. He is in his 90s so he has been told to isolate.
During this time he hasn't used his car and I was wondering if LV are giving discounts for this? Direct Line gave me a discount.
LV said on Twitter that they would look at reducing his annual milage but once they did they said it would not save anything if he did. Is there any other way of getting a discount?

Cancel the insurance and get it elsewhere (or SORN the car if it's off-road and don't insure at all) - but there's almost certainly an admin charge for cancellation, and he may well find the mileage doesn't make a huge difference to premiums anyway.0

Even if he hasnt been driving the car has still been insured , wherever it has been kept , in case of fire , theft , vandalism etc. so the best he could hope for would be reduced mileage and that might invoke an admin fee.
