Smart Export G'tee - metered via smart meter or should I have a seperate export meter?

I have just had my Powerwall / solar install completed and a generation meter has been fitted just after the solar inverter.
I have asked my installer for clarification but should I have a meter fitted on the export side of the install to qualify for SEG? Or is this performed by the smart meter? (when Octopus get round to fitting one).

To get the SEG you need some kind of validated export meter, of which a regular smart meter is one. I find it pretty strange to get a solar installation without having the export metering in place. Didn't your installer talk you through everything?0
