Holiday pay confusion

Hello! I’ve read a couple holiday pay posts on here but none link up with my situation. 

Before the end of the holiday year in April, I was told by my employers that putting holiday through would be a good idea to boost our income over this time. 

It took them 3 paydays to finally get it right, but it’s now been paid as 80% furlough plus 20% from the company. 

Is this correct? I was under the impression when they told me to put it through that I would get furlough PLUS holiday days? 

Because whenever I have holiday in a normal working month it gets paid on top.

If you take holiday when working you don't get paid 100% of your wage plus 100% holiday pay.

They are correct.

I'm not sure what you mean by whenever you have holiday in a normal working month it gets paid on top? When you take holiday you get paid as if it was a normal working day, but without being in work.

Not sure why you thought you'd effectively be paid twice...

I believe it's correct, because you can't be furloughed and on holiday at the same time. I think the same happens if you are on SSP.
If you were going to lose your holiday because you didn't take it by the end of the year and it gave you an extra 20% then you didn't lose anything.

You can, but you won't be paid for both. My earlier link explains all this.
