Hiya,
I was wondering if you can give me a hand with this. I normally keep a eye on my credit file on TransUnion. However decided to checkout Clearscore (Equifax). To my complete suprise, there is two Virgin Media accounts that's open.

FirstOFirst oneione showssshows as defaulted:
And the other one shows as open

Truth is this is I haven't lived in the address that's shown on the account page for at least 6-7 years. Not only that but I was genuinely not aware I owed them any money. I mean such a small amount I would have paid off long ago. This has ruined my credit score and the most surprising thing is the second account with 17£ is still registering on a monthly basis as not paid?

Also the TransUnion dose not show this at all and I have had that for years now.

I just wanted to know my options from you guys before getting in touch with them as I trust your experience way more.
Thank you advance!

Kas

You need to contact them first to understand if the accounts and debts are valid and take it from there.  Then you can work though your options.

    Hey guys,

So I had a reply and it's basically nothing other then quoting back the details I given them. I would prefer to do this over email so any help would be appreciated. I mean GDPR means my account or any more information can not be provided?

I mean I haven't had a account with them for years and specially since the mobile account is still showing as missing payments on a monthly basis. I mean that's at least 5  years since I had another network then Vodafone....

    Thanks you for your reply,

I have viewed a copy of your credit file and it shows that Virgin Mobile account FA....1321 has an outstanding balance of £17

and Virgin Media account ....7702 has an outstanding balance of £129.17.

In relation to ther other questions you raised your Virgin Media account defaulted on 9/10/15

Due to recent guidelines with GDPR we arent able to detail more information at this time

However if you would like to discuss this matter further then please dial either

0345 600 0789 to Speak with a memeber of the Virgin Mobile team or

0800 052 2620 to speak with a memeber of the Virgin Media team.

Who will be happy to help.

    Kind Regards,

    Credit File Team

Did you set up Royal Mail Redirection when you moved? Did you provide a new address to Virgin?
Virgin probably wrote to you quite a few times before they defaulted you.

Think you are only going to fix this by calling them. I would explain to them that you moved house and did not receive any paperwork, and that you are happy to pay the bill today if they remove the default. However that default will drop off your record in October 2021.
