Jet 2 cancellations

Jet2 have cancelled our holiday due to fly 30th July as they are reducing the number of flights. We have made it clear we would like an alternative holiday of the same or greater standard as per our T&C's. Jet2 claim there are no alternatives as the alternative must be for the same dates and there are no flights. The same holiday is available 2 days later but at £1k more which we can book if we pay the difference.
Any advice appreciated.

You are not entitled to a more expensive holiday unless you pay for it .
They are correct that if they have no flights then there's nothing they can do.
Let then cancel the holiday and get a refund , book elsewhereEx forum ambassador

We had made it clear we were flexible on dates before the cancellation. The exact same holiday is available 2 days later. Surely that should be offered as an alternative?0

Nope , you are entitled to get your money back , that's it .
Or a swap for the same amount of money, you make up any differenceEx forum ambassador
