Airline Cancel flight, bank refund me, airline counter claim

Good evening, first time posting on the forum. I have a situation that I’m sure is not unique but I’m unclear how to act appropriately:
I booked a flight + return through an EU airline for March this year, airline cancelled the flight due to COVID-19, I managed to get a refund from my bank and now the airline are contesting the banks actions. The bank have emailed me to say that I have until the 6th July to provide evidence (again) to why they should not reverse the refund I have been given. Help.

Yes, this is part of the chargeback procedure, you can only be certain the money is yours when the deadline for objecting is over. What you must do is respond within the timescale otherwise the money will disappear as quickly as it arrived. If you can show you requested a refund and it was denied, then produce that evidence and quote EU261 as the legal obligation on airlines to offer a full refund within 7 days of the cancellation
