Airline refunds

Hi, at the end of my tether with two airlines, both non UK! Both cancelled my travel the night before I was due to fly out of the UK 18/03/2020. The first (KLM) sent me a voucher which they claim I can get a full refund on if I do not travel with them before March next year.... no good to me, I want my money back, I did not pay money out to get a voucher! I have tried emailing them several times but get the same answer, you have a voucher and will receive a refund if you do not travel by March 2021. The second airline is even more difficult to deal with, they do not seem to have any customer service email address and the two times I did try to phone Air Asia all I got was "sorry I do not understand English well". I have tried the automated service and all I get there is your cases (2) are in progress, but nothing detail wise.... can someone signpost me to some concise but helpful advice on this matter, I'm truly exhausted by it all. I have lost all trust in the travel industry following this!

KLM refused all cash refunds until around 7 days ago when it appears they may have changed their mind. If you booked direct with Air Asia, your best bet is to make a chargeback claim against the card you used to buy the tickets with
