Furlough scheme from July

Any information on this is appreciated
I was placed on Furlough on 19 April for caring/vulnerable child all good so far I have asked to use the flexible Furlough scheme from the 1st of July but today I was told I couldn't because I'm not on workplace furlough but on shielding furlough and  as a duty of care they would need a letter from my daughters school or GP to state she is no longer vulnerable due to covid 19 for me to return to work in any capacity. I did not know the two different furlough schemes existed I'm so confused

I'm not sure what they mean. There's only 1 type of furlough. There's no such thing as "workplace furlough" and shielding furlough, it's just furlough.

I think the OP's employer is saying they put the OP on furlough because of shielding, not lack of work.  So, logically, the OP could not work every Monday but being shielded the rest of the week as the risks to shielding individual are the same every day of the week.
    Perhaps the OP will clarify?

As above but I think grumpy chaps explanation might cover the situation. Will have to see if OP returns

My furlough was I could not work because of childcare for a vulnerable child

    My daughter has Aspergers syndrome.

Sorry for any confusion my daughter has returned to school on a part-time basis hence my reason to return to work using the flexible furlough scheme in July. My company are happy to leave me on furlough but not use the flexible furlough.
    Hence remaining at home

Having Aspergers Syndrome doesn't put them into the vulnerable group for Covid19.
