Hi.
If you travel abroad this summer and a requirement is that you test negative for corona virus within say 72 hrs of flying.
How do you prove you have had the test etc and it's negative..?
Also, do you just go to the drive up ones at your local hospital..?

Local hospitals dont have drive up ones. They are in random locations, the two near me are at an international airport and the car park of an indoor arena.
I have no idea if you can book a test yet merely for getting a letter for travelling abroad and you have to be showing symptoms to have one. I think?0 -
By text ? But who has said this? Latest developments? not heard it yet but have had a Corona virus test and I got a response within 36 hours saying negative. So IF you are being asked to get the test you will have to hope you can arrange one at least within 48 hours of travel.0

I have a holiday booked in Cyprus. Not due to go until Late August but no sure what I would need to do if the currents rules are still in place.0

Given its two months away, it is pointless even worrying about it. Come back in a month and a half. Things change quickly.0

Yeah I am expecting not to even have to do it as UK visitors are Cyprus's top tourists. However I like to be prepared for peace of mind etc.0

They have just announced the UK will be allowed to travel there from 1st August, however they will be a cat b country which needs a PCR test done within 72 hrs.
I am in Norfolk. I have spoken to one in London who has said you can get tested with them and you receive a certificate in PDF format that you can print up to prove a neg test.
Would the accept a printed cert..? Also would they accept it if I open it on my phone..?0 -
Try contacting the Cypriot Embassy.0

"Yes that would be suitable as long as it in a certificate template and not a simple email.
Kind regards,"
thanks for the advice bradders, i would never have thought to mail the actual embassy.

I am due to travel early August. I am unable to contact Virgin unless the holiday is within 14 days however if I need to change/cancel our holiday this must be done at least 21 days prior! Apparently we need to have a COVID test but have not been told this by our travel company. Is this true? Where do I get one from? How soon before holiday will they accept the certificate? How much could this cost?? Lots of questions that Virgin won’t answer!!!0
