    Glad I piled everything into their 1.9% 5 yr Bond when it was on offer last April. 
    It was obvious variable rates will be cut to near zero after the 2nd BOE rate cut  in March.
    That may prove to be a good decision, only time will tell. 
    If inflation really kicks in and 5 years hence the real value of your savings has halved, it won't look so good. At least if they are not tied up, you can do other things with the cash, before inflation eats away at it too much.
