Hi, need some help and advice? Opened a Barclays business account over 3 weeks ago and still not able to apply for the loan due to a marker being attached to my file! Contacted them and upload accounts, tax returns etc and was told the marker would be lifted and I’d be able to apply....that was 2 weeks ago, still no way of applying. Can’t get through to them and heard nothing. Any help and advice?

What is the marker? Specifically related to the BBL, account verification, CIFAS, something different?
They may have possibly applied a marker to all new accounts, where they are being released in chronological order, so that they can process applications from existing customers first, followed by people in the order they opened new accounts.1 -
I believe it’s because my account was opened after 1/3/20, so your reply now makes good sense? Thanks0
