I'm trying to find a bedroom TV for my parents to buy me for christmas (lucky me).
The present TV is 20", combined with a DVD player and we have a separate old sky box acting as freeview for us.
We were hoping to find a similar size flatscreen tv, with DVD and Freeview already included.
I'm a little muddled with the terminology. If it says UHF and VHF tuner does that mean anologue and digital included? Just want to make sure I'm buying what I think I am.
Thanks in advance.

Nope, it's just the frequency spectrum that TV is broadcast. So all it means is "this has a TV tuner". So that doesn't really tell you whether the tuner is digital or analogue. (Both broadcast on UHF). You need to look more closely at the specs, UHF/VHF doesn't tell you anything."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

eeek, thanks.
So will it always say Freeview on it if it's included in the tv?Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o

Or "Digital Tuner", it means the same thing. If it doesn't say "Freeview" or "digital (tuner)" then there's no way of knowing for sure that it has one. If in doubt ask the retailer."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Normally, when a set states UHF and VHF it's an analogue set for present day broadcasts NOT DIGITAL !
If you find one of these sets it's likely to be old stock, so avoid. As espresso stated earlier, most recent sets have a digital mark somewhere on the box or on the screen.0
