Morning all
Thank you again for the good wishes yesterday, its good news and bad really and I now have a decision to make, the last lump that they biopsied was benign which is fab news, but another eagle eyed Dr has spotted 4 other suspicious lumps / areas in the left breast (that I had the op on) these are too small atm to biopsy but they suspect cancer they have given me three choices:
1) Travel to London to a hospital to have an MRI guided biopsy, I was so so terrified last time I had an MRI I honestly didn't think I could do it, I was having a panic attack whilst in there it was not the fact of being in that tube but not being able to get out that scared me, I honestly don't think I would be able to go through that again, I said to the Dr you can biopsy me all day as I can handle that but I cant face a painless 1/2 hour in a tube !!
2) Have the double mastectomy now but they cant do the reconstruction atm as the government have classed this as a non essential op, the recon would be in up to a years time, if I decide on this I will have to to to East Grinstead for the op and be isolated for two weeks before and after op with a 6 week recovery,
3) Do nothing for a few months, but watch and wait and keep having biopsy and tests etc, the Dr said it wont kill me in the next few months, she said if I choose this option but they find they are getting bigger quickly they will insist that I go in for the op very quickly.
So thats where I am at, my boobs are full of cancerous lumps and bumps and I just want them off to be honest but I dont want to then have to wait for the reconstruction, its not the thought of having no boobs that worries me its the thought of having to have two big operations !! I will take this week to think about it and make my mind up but its not an easy choice.
Onto today I have a wash on the go which should dry in a flash today and I will have a tidy round, salmon fillets for dinner with new potatoes and salad so nice and easy and good in this heat.
Mona as charming as your Spa soundsI think I will stick with Nels, her 'pool' is bigger than yours and she is not stingy with the wine.
Have good days all and thank you all again xx11 -

Nels meant to say good luck for the terrorist today xx and also that 'little fires everywhere' is on prime and not Netflix, my mistake xx9

Been wondering how you went on RUBY. You have a big decision to make no mistake but it sounds as though you have possibly already narrowed it down to 2 options to consider.. Thinking of you. Take care xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9

Morning
Yes its terrorist day and he's phoned to check Im "safe". As I haven't seen anyone since him its fair to say I am. he's more of a risk to me I figure but I will trust he is taking proper precations
I'll be ready for the spa this afternoon big party on the cards
No house stuff to do... I confess to being paranoid and cleaning like a mad woman for a visitor! Doubt he'll care two hoots but at least i feel better.
Food will be a cheese burger tonight with salad and wedges. Made a risotto yesterday which was lovely. loads left but bored of eating food all week so its hitting the freezer for next week
Rubes ....more hugs coming you're way that's not a great choiceThe flamingo is waiting for you xx
Have a great day all and stay safe in the sun11 -

Ruby, what a dilemma. I think you're wise to take the time to decide.
Nelski, good luck, I hope it's not too painful.
Monna, unless you have complicated finances then the PoA is quite easy to complete yourself. I have done them for mum and for us and then all it costs is the government registration fee. In fact, in the few years between doing mum's and ours it became even simpler to complete.
We have invested in an air cooler - not a conditioner because that would need venting but a self contained unit that has water in it that cools the air. It seems quite efficient at cooling the atmosphere in our south facing living room which becomes a baking desert in weather like this. Hopefully it will make the next week or so more bearable.
Brian put a bottle of beer in the freezer last night and then forgot about it and it broke, luckily it was in the small top drawer which mainly has cold packs in it so it was contained but still a bit of a mess to clean up this morning, I hate the smell of beer.
I have been bitten on my feet and ankles quite a bit so am very itchy, I don't know why things seem to find me more tasty than Steve who hardly ever seems to get bitten, cat and dog fleas in particular seem to find me very tempting.
I made millionaire's shortcake and curly whirly brownies yesterday so that should keep us going for a while although I want to make a cake for Chris' birthday. It's on Saturday but he's going to play golf on Friday with Steve and will be coming here for lunch in the garden so I want to have it made for then. He's got the week off next week and goes on Tuesday to donate his blood for plasma to treat Covid. Crystal might come over with him to work while they are golfing
but it depend whether or not she thinks it would be too distracting here, although she could spend her time in the study away from us all.
