Multiple linked accts with Icesave/ICICI

Options
I, like many others, use multiple current accounts for various reasons.
Having the ability to link more than one (2 in fact), with my ICESAVE account was what I loved about using ICESAVE.
When I called last week to delete 1 and have it replaced with another, they deleted it... but then refused to replace it.
Apparently, we are now only allowed 1 linked account.

This is enough of a justification for me to switch.
Can anyone confirm how many linked current accounts ICICI allow with their account, which, I understand, runs in a similar way to ICESAVE.

If it is 2 or more, I'll apply tomorrow.
Thanks.

Don't know about ICICI, but Sainsbury's allow up to 19.

...and they don't have to be 'linked' in the usual sense, ie verified by cheque as many other accounts with DD facilities do.

The downside, of course, is that you can't 'pull' money in by DD.

The 19 can therefore be chopped and changed to your heart's content.

Also, if you have a Halifax current account:

    Instant transfers Halifax=>Sainsburys
Next day (but backdated) transfers Sainsburys=>Halifax

That's not good. I recall a while back someone mentioned that they'd had something similar happen when they rreduced the number of linked accounts from 3 to 2. I'm definitely not going to fiddle with any of the 3 accounts that I currently have linked!

  • OK guys, (n gals)..
Thanks for that. Might give sainsburys a try then.

I stuck to icesave/icici as they were the rate leaders - but 0.05% is hardly worth worrying about.

    Ta.
