Hi
just wondering if anyone knows whether MBNA now use the same / similar system as LBG, i.e do they apply CPD markers etc like LBG do / HBOS did?

Similarly, the clever check - does this get updated at a certain time of the month so if I do a check say on the 1st then again 2 weeks later on the 15th, is it even checking the CRA or just giving the result based on internal records and / or previous check (or does it run a new soft check each time?)
Thanks for any help.

It is in plain English. How plainer do you want it? Does anyone know if MBNA use the Lloyds systems now they're under the group banner. It's more a specialised subject, maybe the way it's written is fine but your understanding is overplayed by trying to belittle new posters.0

Maybe if you explained what a CPD marker or a clever check was, you might get more responses.0

CPD is a known Lloyd's marker. Clever check is MBNA eligibility checker. Again, why would you even reply if you don't understand the abbreviations? Similarly, others that haven't replied probably don't know either hence I'm asking. What is it with people trying to be clever on here? I asked a simple question. If you don't get it, then don't reply. You aren't being forced to read and respond to posts that doesn't make sense to you.0

IIRC CPD means Credit Policy Decline. Having a CPD marker means applications for credit will automatically be declined without going through the usual application and credit checking process.
'Clever check' is what MBNA calls its eligibility checker: 'Clever Check makes it easier to find and compare MBNA credit cards you’re eligible to apply for.'
I doubt anyone here will be able to give the OP authoritative answers to their questions.0 -
Correct, hence I'm asking as people may be aware of CPD being applied to MBNA branded cards. There's a lot of discussion on CPD & similar markers so someone *may* know. No harm in asking!0

Internally there'll be a sharing of key data. Checks aren't just going to be external.1

So you have a bad/chequered history with LBG and want to know if MBNA will see this?0
-
Nope. Not at all. Have a current account with them with a couple of grand sat in there since opening and a monthly saver due to good rate.D3xt3r5L4b said:So you have a bad/chequered history with LBG and want to know if MBNA will see this?I'm not a debtor! Please don't assume.I'm just asking if MBNA uses LBG systems now.

Yes; MBNA is now fully integrated into LBG - so will be using Lloyds' systems.1
