I have been looking for a wii and my friend said she can get 1 from Germany but does anyone know if it will work in the uk and if it will play the uk games etc ? thanks.

But word is Nintendo have clamped down and told suppliers not to ship outside their own territory - but if you visiting or have friends there well that a differnet matter0 -

I'm pretty sure that would be illegal. There's a lot of EU free market laws.

That page was last updated Nov 14th, Nintedo decision only came out week or two ago.
I would have thought it was illegal too, but Amazon has complied and stopped shipping them from Germany to UK as have many other european companies
