Car warranty extensions in lockdown

I tried contacting my dealer a few days into lockdown regarding an issue with my vehicle, however (understandably) I could never get through.  My warranty then expired in April and having since got through they've said I can bring the car in for a check and they will see what good-will gestures they may or may not be able to offer but confirmed Mercedes had not offered any official extension to warranties.  Do I have any rights here?

No, not from the information you have provided. You had a warranty for a period of time, the warranty was offered for a period of time, if you did not use the car that is irrelevant.

The only area you may have a minor claim on is if the warranty included servicing and due to them being closed they were not able to offer the contracted service, in which case you would probably be entitled to that vehicle service once they reopen.

All you need is evidence you tried to contact them and I'm sure you emailed them as well. If you give them proof that you alerted them when they were closed, trust me MB is good they will sort it out.
Asides the above and not saying you did that but imagine - warranty expired March 31st, lockdown was from 26th March I think and your car broke down during lock-down you'd email them. But another person same warranty period as you ie warranty runs out 31st March but car breaks down mid April, they could lie - so you see the need for email or letter or answer phone message.

When you rang them they were close or their website, what they the message say re warranty repairs??
