Best low cost online or free will writing site / service

Options
Hi, I need to create a will, I'm a single parent and have no house, but some savings. I want to ensure that in the event of my death my child receives all my money and assets and assign a named guardian. Nothing too complex as far as I know. I'd rather do it as cheaply (free?) as possible, can anyone recommend a suitable low cost or free online site that will allow this? And let me know anything to look out for / be aware of? I was thinking of Which wills, plus some other freebie sites but no idea what's best or suitable. Many thanks.

There's a child involved here, so a solicitor is by far the best option to ensure that guardianship arrangements are waterproof (and there's an alternative lined up if your first choice can't take on the responsibility).

Using a solicitor would be the best way - better to use some of those savings for a professional will than risk your child's future.  The problem with a badly-written will is that the issues usually don't come to light until it's too late to correct them.

A child under 18 cannot inherit, so you will have to create a Trust and appoint Trustees etc. Definitely a job for a solicitor.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

As others have stated, a will properly done by a solicitor is worth every penny. It needn’t be expensive - mine was about £70 I think. A will really isn’t the place to save money.
Have a look for posts on here about online/cheapo will-writing services and the problems that can come with them.
I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.

Would you hire some random dude off the street to babysit your kid because they said they'd do it for cheap?
No? But that's just for one night, we're talking about the welfare of your kid for their entire childhood and beyond.
    See a proper solicitor.
