Travel insurance- declaration of pre-existing condition conundrum

Hi there, as I am not clear on what classifies as existing medical conditions, I played with inputting two benign issues I had in recent past into an insurance calculator. Individually, one would raise the premium by £5 (20%), the other would not increase the cost at all. However when I inputted them together, exactly the same way as individually, the cost increases by £20 (40%). Does anyone know why that is? It doesn’t logically make sense to me. Thanks!

Statistically somebody with a condition and then another condition on top of that is more likely to be ill, then somebody with just the original condition.

Thanks Sharpe for your answer. That’s still quite a big increase especially for two totally unrelated and minor conditions as far as I can see.0

Not knowing the conditions involved, but 2 conditions could quite easily raise the addition premium by ^2 rather than x2.
And a third by ^3....0 -
Insurance bas their premiums on risk assessment . In their experience that is the increased risk with two conditions as opposed to one.0
