F1 Experiences race refund not 100%

Has anyone had any success with claiming 100% refunds from  ‘F1 Experiences’  as the official F1 partner?

I purchased Paddock tickets for Silverstone 2020 and I have been refused a full 100% cash refund even though it was booked on credit card. Would be interested to know what is happening out there with everyone else as there seems to be a big issue.

What did they say were the reasons and what did they offer you?
  • It depends what you class as full refund. If the tickets were £1,000 and there was a booking fee of £50 per ticket then they are within their rights to refund the ticket and keep the booking fee for example.
  • They said they say they have met their legal right by offering 100% credit towards another 2020 race, 90% credit to 2021 race or 80%’ish cash refund
  • It would depend to an extent on their terms and conditions as to how much of the price was declared as a booking fee, but any amount retained when processing a refund must be deemed "reasonable" and it it highly unlikely that 20% would be deemed reasonable, especially when I imagine the cost was in the thousands.
  • You are correct about the overall spend amount. There were no booking fee costs Outset.. There any many F1 race fans up in arms so I thought I’d ask here.
I have reported it to Silverstone
