I give her all My wages except £30 a week to pay bills. The £30 I keep let’s me pay my fee bills and run my car. So I’d say I do share.onwards&upwards said:You're her husband, her partner, do you not share?
Have you just carried on as normal while your wife has lost all income?
Ok, well the way you worded it made it sound like you didn't think you were expected to support her through this! Talking about 'her' savings, rather than you stepping into cover the bills. It sounds like you have fully joint finances and she does the day to day management then?
You are a household, you just have to make your household income stretch temporarily. Hopefully she will be able to go back to work soon. In the meantime I suggest she reads the MSE section on boosting your income, there is stuff on there she can do safely from home.1
