Low water pressure kitchen hot water tap

Currently have a gravity fed water system, asked a plumber to change the mixer taps in the kitchen. Bought taps suitable for a low pressure system. With the new tap the hot water seems incredibly slow compared with the old tap, it's literally half the rate of the cold tap. I measured the flow rates and the cold water tap comes out around 15 litres per min whilst the hot tap comes out around 7.5 litres per min. There's no kinks in any of the hoses which are brand new anyway.
Is this an acceptable flow rate for this system or is there something wrong?

If you mixer taps were old ones the feed to the was probably 15mm to the tap.
Most modern mixer taps are now 15mm to the flexible tails then either 10mm or 8mm to the body of the tap.
That obviously reduces the flow.
Mine are the same.

Good point. Though where I work in the kitchen area they have almost the exact same mixer tap as in my kitchen and the hot water flow is twice that at work as in my kitchen. Though I'm guessing their hot water doesn't run off a gravity fed system?greyteam1959 said:If you mixer taps were old ones the feed to the was probably 15mm to the tap.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
The pipe to taps generally have an inline isolator just below the flexible section. Is that fully open?
