Hi,
I need some advice on negative feedback. I have listed a number of items on ebay a few days ago and today a buyer purchased one of them. within 5 minutes the buyer also left me negative feedback "I regret ever buying, and complaints were met with rude e-mails" which has not helped my 100%. I have sent a mail to ebay but does any one have any other advise? :-(
Thanks

I presume these were BIN Items ?
Why on earth would a buyer leave NFB within 5 mins of buying
.
Did they, in fact, send you an email ?
Surely eBay can easily check that NFB was left by your buyer just after he bought the thing and do something about this ridiculous situation.0 -
I think you might find that this is a competitor who might be spoiling??
or
He left in error meant for someone else? Send a polite e-mail and see what happens.
Have they paid? Do they have a track record? I presume not....then its probably scenario one. If so might be scenario 2. Keep calm especially in eearly stages.0 -
One thing has occured to me, you are not selling anything that people might want to scam bust are you. I mean things like links or ebooks or things like that.
The buying and leaving immediate feedback sounds like something a scam buster would do, what's their feedback like and is the user name anything strange?
Meanwhile use the contact ebay form to report the buyer as a malicious buyer. Ebay will take time to investigate, but they should eventually remove the neg.

Could be an error?? Doubt it.
Ebay WILL NOT remove the feedback - they never remove feedback unless......
What you can do is leave a neg for him thats not rude or swearing or libellous. Then you go through the feedback section and request a Mutual Removal.
The only times Ebay will ever remove feedback is through the Mutual process or if the feedback is full of swearwords defamation etc.
I think that this is intentional - sadly ebay has more trolls and idiots than anywhere else and it was probably a competitor or similar simpleton.
Whilst you leave feedback for him NEG!!) reply to the feedback left for you, again very politely and factual. At least it will show directly under the comment he left for you until the mutual removal can take place. (And assuming that the person who left it will actually agree, they are not already in minus feedbacks or the account was hijacked!!)0 -
Hi have just received the buyers conatct details and guess what, they are false with a false name. I have reported him/her to ebay but I beleive it is now a waiting game.0

First what a pain;
do you mind me asking what you were selling? it sounds like someone just messing around for a laugh at other ebayers expense, although it could also be someone objecting to your items as someon above has mentioned0 -

I was selling some carpet cleaning liquid for about £4.00. There is another seller selling the same thing for a little more/?0 -
oh dear, that sounds you could possibly have your culprit. Some people have got too much time on their hands (she says, typing for the millionth time on MSE!)
I'd be steaming furious if I was you, hope it all gets sorted and you get that feedback removed.0 -

Great, that will really help your case.
As well as reporting the buyer as a malicious buyer also report him for bad contact details, in fact report him for any single violation you can find. If you don't get a result in 4-5 days resubmit your complaints, but persevere.
I had something like this happen last year, I have my suspicions where my malicious bidder came from as well. However, it took a while, over a week and then one morning I suddenly got an email from ebay saying that appropriate steps had been taken and when I checked my buyer had been NARU'd. A day later I got another email saying that my neg would be removed and the next day my feedback was perfect again.
Fingers crossed for you.

Specifically check which items (if any) your malignant buyer has been bidding on to see if you can spot any signs of shill bidding on the other carpet cleaner. This will be a v.effective way of getting them both removed from ebay. Just goes to show how pathetic the feedback system actually is.. if I had my way I'd have it replaced with an Amazon * rating system! :T0
