Medical Cover

Hi all,

I am due to travel to the United States with my daughter to see my family who live there between 2nd and 20th July. Our existing travel insurance policy does not cover us for anything whilst the FCO’s travel ban remains in place. Our trip will not be classified as essential.

I am trying to find an insurer who will cover us for emergency medical cover whilst we are in The States. It does not necessarily need to cover covid-related emergencies (we are healthy and I’m willing to take the risk) but I would like to get cover in case of an accident e.g. car crash. I’m not bothered about cover against flight cancellations etc. I just want medical cover.

Surely someone will offer us a bespoke insurance package? I’m willing to pay a significant sum. Does anyone know a specialist travel insurance broker / expert?

Thanks,
PTJ

Do you have a visa or American passport?

I understand Esta is not valid at the moment.

At present UK/EU residents are prohibited from  entering America.

Don't waste your money, you won't be allowed to board the plane. There is insurance available, at a huge cost but travel has been banned by President T since March for anyone who has been in the UK or EU within 14 days of travel, surely if you didn't know, your family in the US could have told you?
