Natwest wickedly closed my acc after depositing BBL!

I can not find a single search result for BBLs being cancelled after issue (even this thread is too new to have been indexed), in an MSE article there is reference to five, yes just five people who have had their BBL cancelled after issue and they were all with Starling bank, they even say they are not aware of any other cases with other banks. There are of course many cases ever year (though incredibly small in percentage terms) where banks withdraw banking services, these are almost entirely done so because of fraud committed by the account holder, I have yet to hear a single case of these decisions being reversed.intorycoodle said:Because I've done a basic google search.1 -
Literally no way I can word it any more clearly.intorycoodle said:onwards&upwards said:Why are you assuming that closing your account means they will want the loan back?I don't quite understand your question. You have two products with NatWest. A loan and a business account. You seem to be assuming that because they are closing the business account they will also call in the loan. What is making you think that? Have they told you they want the loan money back?0 -

Anyhow, I've had enough of this, I didn't come here for sympathy, I didn't come here to argue if I had the right account(which I did), and I especially didn't come here to be loosely accused of fraud, that's just rude.I came here to document my situation so Natwest didn't think they could do this to people without the stories being made public, banks need to take a long hard look at themselves, the way they've treated people during the toughest times in their lives, it's out of order, and anybody who defends the banks actions may never have found themselves in such a situation as those of us who have.0

There's similar thread on Accounts subforum: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6160123/nat-west-closed-our-account/p1
User also had business account, so not the case of using personal account for business.

Do you think Natwest will ask me for alternative bank details for them deposit the loan into? The loan that they approved? that I would have to pay them back for? No, me neither.

In other comments, i see members trying to get the full story so they maybe able to advise you, it's difficult to give any advice to anyone without the full details. With your sort of attitude i'll be surprised if anyone tries to help you further.1 -

Like I said, I'm not here for help, there's no help available, the banks are a law unto themselves, I'm just documenting my story.

They are not a law unto themselves. They are regulated and have to follow both the law and regulations. However, they are free to choose their customers as any business is.intorycoodle said:poppy12345 said:MadMattUK said:

You've already received and partly spent the loan though, right?intorycoodle said:onwards&upwards said:You have two products with NatWest. A loan and a business account.
