    Of course there is but the point I was making is that in underwriting the proposal it's not for me to delve into why the IFA is writing the policy in a particular way. BTW many of the cases I am thinking of were not husband and wife but were part of business arrangements.
    We really have strayed a long way from the OP's query so perhaps we should bring this slightly esoteric exchange to an end.
