I had a Holiday booked to Italy for first week in July.
Flights with jet2.com got cancelled, refunded within a week. No problem.
Insurance with travel time.
Hotels with hotels.Com.
Insurance said they don't cover pandemics. Also hotels still open so won't give my money back as it was a non refundable rate.
I suffered pneumonia due to Covid19 in early April. And have still not recovered properly. Don't think I would have travelled even if the flights were on.
However what shall I do to get my hotel money back? Can I claim under sick health or Is it better to go with the chargeback/section 75 route? Please advise.

If the hotel is still open and was booked independently of the flights then they're not stopping you from taking up your booking there and therefore there's no chargeback or section 75 option, so your insurance would be the only viable route, is that what you mean by "claim under sick health"? Will your doctor certify you as unfit to travel?0

I'll have to check with the doctor with the health thing.eskbanker said:If the hotel is still open and was booked independently of the flights then they're not stopping you from taking up your booking there and therefore there's no chargeback or section 75 option, so your insurance would be the only viable route, is that what you mean by "claim under sick health"? So is section 75/chargeback only if the hotel was closed?

Effectively, yes - if the room is available for you to use then the hotel are fulfilling their side of the bargain, so there are no grounds to seek redress via your card company.sugar_daddy1237 said:

The issue you might have with your Dr saying you aren’t fit to travel is them relating it to the COVID pneumonia and your insurer rejecting it on those grounds.
