    The fact that the villa isn't priced per person doesn't invalidate the approach of allocating its total cost on that basis though, but even if you still feel it's inappropriate, it certainly isn't fraudulent and it's the way they work so you'd be better concentrating on how to secure the full refund rather than objecting to the principle of having to do so from multiple companies.

    It's obviously in you interests to help your daughter secure the refund so why wouldn't you cooperate by supplying her with the requisite documentation, such as the proof of (your) purchase and the statement from your insurer that they're only refunding the half of the cost that corresponds to their policyholders?
