I'll have approx 3 cubic metres of earth to get rid of, and some old decking boards that are rotten through, stupid questions but I've never had a skip before so here goes.
A 6 yard skip will be half full with my 3 cubic metres of earth? And how high do i fill it without annoying the driver?
And finally, is there a knack to loading it, ie with a barrow and board?

Fill it as high as you can
I have always put boards down the side if needed to gain a little extra height.
One end should drop allowing you to wheel your barrow in. Use the decking boards as a ramp to fill the higher parts. If it's on a hill I prefer the opening at the top otherwise it slides towards the back and requires more effort0
