marks on new ceramic glass hob

Recently installed a new Hotpoint cooker with glass top. After some weeks for some reason there appears to be what I can only describe as water marks under the glass top. Is this normal? It does not affect the use of the rings but just looks unsightly. Surely water marks would dry off when the halogen rings are turned on. Any advise please.

Photo?
I had kindof pan rings on my ceramic hob. I was able to clean them off with Unika Gloss Surface Cleaner with a soft cloth. Took ages though. But the hob looked as good as new after, no scratches. It might work. Or try white vinegar and a soft cloth, removes most marks on glass.1 -
