Everest in and out administration Everest 2020

We have been waiting over a year for Everest to complete a window installation at our home - this has been due to staffing changes, chaos in the administration of the Head Office, and the loss of various parts that were ordered for our job ( mislaid in Everest's yard!) . We have been more than patient, but are now unsure of the situation given the recent administration of Everest.
As Everest Limited passed into administration and was then created under a new company called Everest 2020 Limited, we are unsure if we have a contract anymore - Our contract was with Everest Limited, not a different company Everest 2020. Would this mean that there is no longer any liability on either part to complete/ pay for the works?
Any help appreciated!

From what you wrote, No liability on Everest 2020. They and the original are different limited companies. It is a big drawback with the system and a risk many do not realise or understand. The original company, as I understand, still has responsibility but that is limited depending upon resources remaining in administration - usually not a lot. You need to get in touch with the administrators and claim as a creditor. However do not get up too many hopes of getting much if any money back as you will be well down the list of priority creditors. Banks, HMRC, the administrator etc get first pick. But worth trying.0

Umm was going to edit my post but cannot at the moment! That was how I understood the situation but there seems to have been a packaged ready made deal to sell the company! So looks like I am wrong!!Info in the press says they will still be dealing with existing customers albeit slower than normal probably. Get in touch with them. See article https://www.expressandstar.com/news/uk-news/2020/06/09/over-400-jobs-saved-in-everest-windows-rescue-deal/1

How did you pay for the work? Hopefully, credit? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

I have recently signed up and paid deposit. Due to slight changes resulting from survey as well as finding a better deal with another window company I requested cancellation but my deposit will not be refunded due to not cancelling within 7 days. Deposit was paid 17 September but survey not done until 12 October 2020 whereby these changes made us decide to cancel. I am also concerned with after sales service. Do I have a legal right to request refund?0
