  • Are you pulling our legs ?
There is no speaker in a router, it will be a component failing, not a hack.
Is it getting hot and/or smelling strange ?
I would not leave it in a room with anyone sleeping if it's showing signs of failing.

    Seriously?
Far more likely to be electrical noise which may be a symbol of possibly something beginning to go inside the router itself, but nobody's going to "hack" a router to make it "sigh", that's bordering on the ridiculous.

Technically a hacker is defined as any skilled computer expert who uses their technical knowledge to overcome a problem, and not a label to be slapped on something that starts behaving in a unique way.
  • thanks for all the cynical comments I did just as for some help. My laptop was hacked then the new router started making a noise if it is just broken I will contact BT. Thanks anyway

Bt hubs are incapable of making any noise since dial up modem days.

I'd just buy a new unit off eBay , it's far cheaper than asking BT for a new one

Did somebody forget what account they had logged in with? Too many accounts to keep track maybe?
