Isn't the Sky footy canned crowd noise rubbish?

I switched on the TV and there's a match on Sky One, so I thought "I'll watch that."

Well, 5 minutes of fake crowd noise and I looked for how to turn it off - you can't!

So I switched off the TV instead.

The regular footy channels are shown without the canned noise. But then ,it seems like a kick about in the park - zero atmosphere!!

Shows you can’t please all the people all the time, I watched the first EPL  game , with no artificial crowd noise and though it was like a training game ( previously I had seem a Bundesliga game with crowd noise and preferred that ) 

I later realised how to use the options to either have or not have crowd noise , obviously not necessarily available on the ‘free’ offering, something I did notice with the ‘crowd noise’ at one point was a ‘come on you reds’ chant, when neither team was playing in red !!.

It just proves how important the crowd is, rather than increase football tickets they should reduce them.

Not in the lower leagues where clubs don't get much TV money or sponsorship -  they couldn't survive without gate receipts.
