Breakdown cover unregulated
I am looking for some help, I was given very poor advice during a breakdown by my breakdown company which resulted in a police fine. I have tried complaining directly to the company and they do not see their error. I have tried to complain via the financial ombudsman via resolver.co.uk and they financial ombudsman have advised that they do not cover this company. Where can I go next ? I have the recording of the call and have been advised by the police that the advice given was irresponsible and negligible but they won't get involved in this.

What was the nature of the advice and what were you fined for?As a full UK driving licence holder and the driver of the vehicle ultimately it is your responsibility to ensure you both know the law and comply with it. The fact someone gives you poor advice is neither here nor there.0

Without a lot more information about the situation and the advice, there's nothing more can be said, really, except to repeat MinuteNoodles - you, the driver, are always 100% responsible for your actions and your compliance with the law. Remember the Highway Code? I bet that tells you all you needed to know.0
