How To Mark An Item As Sold

Someone has bought an item I had listed by contacting me, asking for address and coming around my house and paying cash. They literally lived around the corner.  How do I let ebay know I have sold the item? This happened about a month ago and I got warned as I couldn't find how to let ebay know the item was sold so gave up and ended the item early and they threatened that if I did it again I would be suspended. So how do I go about it?...because it ain't obvious.

Sorry, let me be clear....the same thing happened last month which was when I got warned, as ebay contacted me and posted my message to that seller where I gave them my address. So it has happened again this afternoon, contacted and item sold in 10 minutes, and so I find myself in same situation. There is nothing on my seller list to say "Mark As Sold". So what do I do ?

The buyer needs to click buy it now, then you get the option to mark it paid and despatched. That will keep eBay happy. You were lucky to just get a warning last time, many get a short suspension for the same problem. 

if you have locals interested in your items you might want to consider selling locally on something like Facebook marketplace or one of the phone aps that way you can control the sale.
