Boiler grant help required

Hi.
We have an I installation tomorrow for a boiler my mum qualified for a few weeks ago. She had dementia and has passed away yesterday.  Do we cancel the install or let them complete the work?  Or would we get in trouble? I feel we should let them go ahead as she qualified while still with us.
Thank you

Sorry for your loss, but you should tell them what has happened and see what they say.
The answer will depend on the details of the scheme, but if you simply allow this to proceed without telling them, you run the risk of incurring the full cost of the work done if it is subsequently determined that the scheme required her to be alive at the point of installation, not just at the point when the installation was approved.
  • Thanks thanks for the reply,
they called today and I gave them a what if scenario.
they advised already have the confirmation of the grant back from the application
so that has been accepted and I just left it there
so the boiler install is next month and can’t expect any comebacks.

    thanks again
